Type on your Android with the keyboard you already have.

One shortcut sends your MacBook's keyboard and trackpad to a phone or tablet next to it. Nothing installed on the device. Nothing mirrored on your Mac. You just type.

how it works

Three things happen once. After that, it's just the shortcut.

run the command above

installs what's needed, finds your tablet over USB, asks for one macOS permission.

plug the tablet in with a USB cable

tap "OK" on the prompt the tablet shows. that's the only thing you ever approve.

press T

your keyboard and trackpad now control the tablet. press it again for your Mac back.

02

usb or wi-fi

Pick one when the installer asks. USB is simpler for almost everyone.

recommended

usb cable

  • nothing to enable on the tablet
  • survives a restart
  • no developer options
alternative

wi-fi

  • needs developer options on
  • turns back off on reboot
  • needs a shared network
03

why bother

questions

does it mirror my tablet's screen onto my mac?

no. you keep looking at the tablet itself. nothing about its screen appears on your mac.

do i need to root the tablet, or turn on developer options?

not over usb. your mac registers as an ordinary keyboard and mouse — the tablet just thinks hardware got plugged in.

does it install anything on the android device?

no app, no apk. everything runs on the mac.

my cable doesn't work

chargers often ship power-only cables that carry no data — the most common snag. use any usb-c cable meant for file transfer.

is it free?

yes. open source, mit license.
